APAR status

Error description

  • When app client is set to connect with the server with https
and analytics enabled, it closes when launched.  If analytics
is disabled, the problem does not occur.

Local fix

  • Disable analytics or use http rather than https.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* When WL.Analytics is enabled, either by specifying enabled   *
* in the initOptions object or explicitly calling the          *
* WL.Analytics.enable function, and the IBM Worklight server   *
* URL specified in the worklight.properties file uses https    *
* (not http) in IBM Worklight Android applications, the parse  *
* of the URL will fail when WL.Analytics.send function is      *
* called, causing the application to crash.                    *

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to support https.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.1.
