    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of Rational RequisitePro native client (RequisitePro)
who add a filter using the criteria Traced-to/Traced-from in
any type of view based on a external requirement type which
project is located on a different database than the local
project but within the same ORACLE database server.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION :
When RequisitePro attempts to create a Traced-to/Traced-from
filter for a view based on an external requirement type
located on other database, it search for the traces locally
instead of searching them in the remote project, causing to
    throw the error:
"OLE Error: a RqOLEQuery while executing the
messagesetQueryString: with: with arguments:" and filter is
    not created.

Problem conclusion

  • Rational RequisitePro code was updated and now search for
the traces in the correct project.
This update only applies for ORACLE Database management
system when working on projects located in different
databases within the same ORACLE database server.
In order to allow RequisiPro to get information from another
database is necessary to create a database link for more
information please refer to following ORACLE web page...

The fix for this APAR was included in RequisitePro version
    7.1.4.3 and 7.1.3.10.
