* USERS AFFECTED: All DB2 users who ALTER INDEX USING STOGROUP *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After the cancel of the statement       *
*                      ALTER INDEX USING STOGROUP,             *
*                      customers may receive ABEND04E          *
*                      RC00C90101 at DSNGEDM DSNGEDFR          *
*                      ERQUAL50FF followed by DB2 termination  *
*                      with RC00F30420.                        *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When processing ALTER INDEX USING STOGROUP, an incorrect log
record is generated and written. When the alter is rolled back,
the incorrect log record for the STOGROUP name could cause an
overlay, which causes the above abend.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been changed to write a correct log record for
the STOGROUP name.
