PI06964: DETAIL FILTER BASED ON A POWERCUBE HIERARCHY DOES NOT FILTER A LIST CONTAINING THE GROUPED HIERARCHY

APAR status

Error description

• A report is authored based on a powercube data source,
  containing a hierarchy detail filter with an expression like
  "[Cube].[Dimension].[Hierarchy] = ?pHierarchy?". The report
  layout contains a list where the columns contain levels of this
  hierarchy, with the non-leaf levels grouped.  When this report
  is executed in BI 10.1.1, the List only displays data for the
  user selection.  If the same report is executed in BI 10.2.1,
  the List displays the entire hierarchy.
  

Local fix

• Instead of dragging in the entire lowest level of the hierarchy
  to the list and filtering it with a Detail Filter, remove the fi
  lter and construct a set of just the selected members and put th
  at into the report layout.  For example, using a data item with
  an expression like "descendants([Cube].[Dimension].[Hierarchy]->
  ?pHierarchy?, [Cube].[Dimension].[Hierarchy].[Level])".
