PI06718: ABEND0C4 RUNNING HFPMAIN0 FAST PATH ADVANCED UNLOAD DUE TO LACK OF SAVE AREAS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HFPMAIN0 calls HFPTECL0 which calls the compression routine
  exit. HFPTECL0 only creates five save areas.  If more are needed
  the ABENDS0C4 will occur going off the end of the chain.
  The code will be modified to increase the number of save areas
  in the chain.
  
  This is a forward fit of IMS Fast Path Solution Pack V120 APAR
  PI04733.

  HFPMAIN0 calls HFPTECL0 which calls the compression routine
  exit.
  HFPTECL0 only prepares 5 save areas.
  When segment Edit/Compression exit routine and INIT parameter
  are specified in DBDGEN, ABENDS0C4 occurs if more than 5 save
  areas are needed for INIT call.
  

Problem conclusion

• HFPTECL0 has been modified to prepare 20 save areas for INIT
  call.
