PI06424: ENHANCEMENT TO MODIFY THE XTASKCTL AND TARECGEN KEYWORDS

Error description

• 1. The default values of ITASKCTL, OTASKCTL, and ATASKCTL are
  being adjusted.
  2. A new parameter is being added to the TARECGEN keyword to
  not generate the analysis reports.

  *                         exceptions.                          *
  *                      3. New parameter (ONLY) is added to the *
  *                         TARECGEN keyword of IMS Fast Path    *
  *                         Online Tools.                        *
  *                      4. New DD statement (HFPABEND) is       *
  *                         supported for generating a snap dump *
  *                         for abend.                           *
  *                      5. OPC with FULLSTEP=YES did not        *
  *                         release some storage areas depend on *
  *                         the number of processing areas.      *
  *                      6. The SYSEXEC DD statement of sample   *
  *                         JCL HFPLISMD is incorrect, module    *
  *                         HFPLMDIR is located in SHFPBASE,     *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  1. System default values of the following keywords are changed
  to 4.
  - ITASKCTL of UNLOAD, RELOAD, CHANGE, REORG, EXTRACT, INDEXBLD,
    and TUNE command.
  - OTASKCTL of CHANGE and INITIALIZE command.
  - ATASKCTL of ANALYZE command.
  
  2. Threshold Exceptions section of the Area Tuning Summary
  report adds following information:
  - The name of the area in which threshold exceptions were
    detected.
  - Keywords that are related to the threshold exceptions.
  
  3. The format of the TARECGEN keyword is changed as follows:

  A new parameter, ONLY is added. When TARECGEN=ONLY is specified
  for the ANALYZE statement of OPC or PTRCHK statement of OER,
  OPC or OER generates the Tuning Aid records and suppress
  generating the following reports:
  - DEDB Area Analysis reports
  - UOW report
  - UOW Exception report
  - Largest Database Records report
  - Consolidated Largest Database Records report
  - Segment Length Distribution report
  - Process summary of analysis report
  
  4. A new DD statement, HFPABEND is added. When the FPA job ends
  with abend, FPA generates a snap dump which is used for
  diagnostic purposes. FPA dynamically allocates the data set to
  SYSOUT=* when the HFPABEND DD statement is not specified in the
  JCL.
  
  5. OPC with FULLSTEP=YES releases storages correctly when the
  OPC completes processing an area. Therefore, the region size
  above 16 megabytes of the OPC job will be reduced.
  
  6. The SYSEXEC DD statement of sample JCL HFPLISMD has been
  corrected.
