Error description
Using WLM queing services (server_use_wlm_to_queue_work=1) requires the use of a WLM Temporal Affinity Token when queuing to a specific process (ie. queuing with affinity). At the time of the "processBatch" call the WLM Temporal Affinity Token for the new Servant was not known and the request was failed with a minor code of C9C2128F.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0, V8.0, and V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An IIOP request targeted to a newly * * started WebSphere Application Server * * for z/OS Servant process failed. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An IIOP request with affinity to a specific Servant received a CORBA SystemException with minor code C9C2128F. When using WLM queuing to deliver work from the Controller to a particular Servant a Temporal Affinity token is needed to identify the Servant. The Temporal Affinity token is returned when a Servant receives a piece of work from the select API. In order to queue work with affinity to a particular Servant the Servant would have to receive a prior piece of work and save the Temporal Affinity Token for the Controller to use when queuing subsequent work with affinity. In this failure an IIOP request with Affinity to a Servant was received prior to any requests being received by the target Servant. Thus, the required Temporal Affinity Token was not available to queue to the target Servant. This resulted in the SystemException and the following message in the Controller: BBOO0011W The function ACR_ExecutionThread:: ProcessInboundRequest(acrwObj *, ThreadCleanUp *, BOSS_Object_Key &, Internal_CORBA_Request &)+3139 received CORBA system exception CORBA::INTERNAL. Error code is C9C2128F.
Problem conclusion
Code has been modified to use the REGION_TOKEN parameter from the WLM API IWM4CON, if available (available in z/OS 1.11), to obtain the Temporal Affinity Token early in the Servant initialization. APAR PI06323 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 7.0.0.33, 8.0.0.9, and 8.5.5.2 of WebSphere Application Server.
