Error description

  • CSQX053E with FFST xcsCheckPool occurs when there is a failure
sending an API response in rriMQIServerCall as indicated by
    message CSQX206E.

rriMQIServerCall may allocate a new buffer for sending the
API response, and this buffer does not get released if the
send fails. This results in the FFST in xcsFreeOwnedBuffers
some time later (only when the conversation control block
gets reused) or an FFST in xcsCheckPool (if the CSQXDBG DD
    card is present).

A temporary buffer is allocated and cached by the
server when sending a flow to the SVRCONN-attached client.
If an error occurs during the network send then the buffer
is not correctly freed and is maintained in the cache.
This eventually causes problems and is reported via an
    FFST.

Problem conclusion

  • SVRCONN processing has been amended to ensure that the buffer
is freed even if the network send operation fails.
