Error description

Under a very-rare and currently unknown set of circumstances, an
IBM Rational ClearCase host running the AIX operating system may
experience a system crash in 'mvfs_aix_lookup_component'

The AIX crash stack trace in this case read:

mvfs.o:mfs_aix_lookup+000080
...

The issue is currently believed to be a one-time occurrence but
is believed to be a rare race condition.

Local fix

No known workaround or local fix is available at this time

Problem conclusion

A fix is available in ClearCase versions 7.1.2.13, 8.0.0.10 and
8.0.1.3
