  Foundation for z/OS, delivers enhancements for Curl and Vim,

  This PTF update introduces the following tools:
  
  - Rsync - A fast and versatile file copying tool for local and
  remote file synchronization. Rsync efficiently transfers and
  synchronizes files across systems by using a delta-transfer
  algorithm, minimizing data transfer by sending only the
  differences between the source and destination files.
  - YQ - A lightweight and portable command-line YAML processor.
  YQ enables users to read, write, and transform YAML, JSON, and
  XML data, facilitating configuration management and data
  manipulation.
  
  This PTF updates the following tools:
  
  - Git is updated to version 2.55.0
  - Perl is updated to version 5.44.0
  - Curl is updated to version 8.22.0
  - Vim is updated to version 9.2.1000
  - GPG is updated to version 2.5.22
  - Less is updated to version 704
  - GNU Which is updated to version 2.25
  - Bash is updated to version 5.3.15
  - JQ is updated to version 1.8.2
  
  The following tools remain unchanged:
  
  - Ncurses remains at version 6.6
  - GNU Make remains at version 4.4.1
  
  Curl Fixes:
  - Enhanced to preserve the tags of existing files during
  transfer.
  - Fixed dataset upload to correctly handle newline
  characters instead of replacing them with spaces.
  
  Vim Updates:
  - Added a configurable variable `ispflock` to control dataset
  locking when opening or writing a dataset. Use `:set ispflock`
  to enable or `:set noispflock` to disable the lock check.
  This setting can also be configured in `vimrc`. (Note: This is
  only applicable to PDS/PDSE types)
  - z/OS dataset names are now shown instead of the internal
  /tmp path across all Vim messages and prompts.
  - Fixed crash seen when binary datasets are opened
  
  Perl Fixes:
  - Fixed relocatable path and build path handling in Perl
  configuration
  

Problem conclusion

• IBM is releasing a cumulative update to the IBM Open Enterprise
  Foundation for z/OS 1.1, delivering two new tools, updated
  tool versions, and fixes.
