Error description

  • New rules sub-option NOLAXINDEX causes the compiler to issue
    warning messages when an index-name associated with a table
    containing fixed length elements is used to subscript another
    table containing fixed length elements of different length.

    Using an index-name associated with a table containing fixed
    length elements to subscript another table containing fixed
    length elements of a different length may result in accessing a
    different element which may result in a runtime error.

  • The compiler was updated with a new RULES sub-option (LAXINDEX |
    NOLAXINDEX). Specifying NOLAXINDEX causes the compiler to issue
    a warning message (IGYPA3483-W) when an index-name associated
    with a table containing fixed length elements is used to
    subscript another table containing fixed length elements of a
    different length.
