PH70176: ABEND S001-3 OCCURS BY READING DATA FROM SYSPRINT DD WHEN CA2PITCA DSN PARAMETER ENABLED IN THE PITCA PROCESSING.

Error description

• This problem occurs when the CA2PITCA DSN parameter is enabled
  in the PITCA processing. HPCA internally calls the IMS DBRC
  utility, and reads its results from the data set of SYSPRINT DD.
  If the IMS message DSP0712I is found in the result of the
  utility, HPCA immediately issues the DBRC API macro using the
  same SYSPRINT DD. AS a result, a SYSPRINT DD access contention
  occurs, causing ABEND S001-3 ( ABENDS001 RSN3 ).

  When PITCA processing is run with the CA2PITCA DSN parameter and
  a CA group that has no update log records to apply is found, IMS
  HP Change Accumulation terminates with ABEND S001-00000003
  ( ABENDS001 RSN3 ). In this case, message IEC020I 001-3
  (MSGIEC020I RC3) is issued for the SYSPRINT DD.
  IMS HP Change Accumulation reads the SYSPRINT DD report to check
  the result of the DBRC Utility that it issues internally. When
  IMS HP Change Accumulation finds the message DSP0712I
  ( MSGDSP0712I ) in the report, it calls a DBRC API to issue
  the NOTIFY.CA command. At this time, IMS HP Change Accumulation
  also uses the same SYSPRINT DD as the output destination for
  DBRC API messages, causing a conflict.  Consequently, the IMS HP
  Change Accumulation process triggers an ABEND S001 RSN3 during
  the subsequent SYSPRINT DD read operation.
  

Problem conclusion

• To avoid output conflicts between the DBRC utility and DBRC API,
  IMS HP Change Accumulation has been modified to output DBRC API
  results to the new DD name of HPCADAPI. If it is not specified
  in JCL, IMS HP Change Accumulation will allocate it dynamically.
