PH70163: TRANSACTION ISOLATION SWITCHED OFF AFTER FIRST WOLA CALL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The customer is using WOLA to allow CICS to make use of MLz but
  they are finding that when they do this transaction isolation is
  switched off after the first WOLA call.

  *                      off for a task which is running WOLA.   *
  ****************************************************************
  CICS is running with Transaction Isolation active.
  An application uses WebSphere Optimized Local Adapters (WOLA).
  WOLA has an exit program called BBOATRUE which issues a
  DFHSMSRX SWITCH_SUBSPACE call which switches the task
  to BASESPACE - turning off Transaction Isolation for the task.
  The task continues to run without the protection of
  Transaction Isolation.

Problem conclusion

• CICS has been modified to protect transaction storage
  following WOLA's SWITCH_SUBSPACE call.
