Error description

• When the target database is being updated during an OSC run, the
  APPLY internal job (xxxxxxA0) may output HFP43717E and terminate
  abnormally with U3717.                              MSGHFP43717E

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Online Structure Change utility     *
  *                      (OSC) abended with U3717.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  The following issues of OSC have been reported:
  1. OSC abended with U3717.
  2. Online updates could not be applied.
  3. High CPU consumption occurred when TAKEOVER_TIME=(HHMM,HHMM)
     was specified.
  

Problem conclusion

• OSC has been modified to:
  1. resolved U3717
  2. apply online updates by obtaining IMSIDs correctly
  3. address the high CPU consumption issue
  4. add initialization processing for the acquired work area,
  which had previously been missed
  
  OSC has also been enhanced to increase the maximum value of the
  UPDATE_NUMBER keyword from 1000 to 9999.
  
  Additionally, the manual has been updated to clarify that the
  required HFPF0602I, HFPF0603W and HFPF0604E messages must not
  be suppressed during message flood conditions.
