Error description

• When a CDC subscription encountered non-recoverable SQL errors
  on the target side (for example, SQLCODE -904 indicating
  unavailable resources), the subscription would fail to terminate
  properly and would hang indefinitely. This also caused the
  entire CDC instance to hang when attempting to shut down

  *                 target side of subscription in the z/OS      *
  *                 address space.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a CDC subscription encounters      *
  *                      a non-recoverable SQL error on the      *
  *                      target apply (for example, an SQLCODE   *
  *                      -904 indicating unavailable resources), *
  *                      the subscription fails to terminate     *
  *                      properly and will hang indefinitely.    *
  *                      This will cause the entire CDC          *
  *                      instance to hang when attempting to     *
  *                      shut down.                              *

  The subscription will end gracefully after the SQL error has
  been handled correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• Once this issue is resolved, the subscription will shut down
  gracefully and the SQL error will be handled correctly.
