Error description

• THIS APAR ADDS ADDITIONAL VALIDATION FOR Db2 LOG MANAGER
  PROCESS. IT WILL BE MINIMIZING THE IMPACT DUE TO STORAGE OVERLAY
  OF LOG MANAGER CONTROL BLOCK AND IMPROVE RESILIENCY.

  An internal log manager control block was invalid during log
  write processing, indicating a storage overlay. As a result,
  an abend occurred followed by latching and castout problems
  which caused Db2 to hang.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR improves log manager serviceability and resiliency
  by introducing a new reason code 00D1F002. Log manager will
  validate an internal log manager control block during log
  write processing. If the control block is determined to be
  invalid, which may occur due to a storage overlay, Db2 will
  terminate with reason code 00D1F002 to prevent further errors.
  
  Subsequent restart of the Db2 subsystem will rebuild the
  control block correctly. If the storage overlay is determined
  to be caused by other software, disable or remove that
  software before restarting Db2 to prevent further recurrences.
  The new reason code applies to all function levels of Db2 13.
