Error description
When clients use NOTEST(DWARF,NOSEPARATE) and CODEPAGE(1390) as compiler options, the DBCS characters in Working storage section in CEEDUMP are garbled and do not display properly making debugging difficult.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Enterprise COBOL 5.1 and later * * releases compiling with CODEPAGE(1390) and * * TEST, TEST(DWARF), or NOTEST(DWARF) options * * and running programs which generate * * a CEEDUMP. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When COBOL data names contain DBCS * * characters encoded in CCSID 1390 * * (typically, Japanese characters), * * the data names in the 'Local Variables' * * section in a CEEDUMP are garbled and * * displayed incorrectly. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install the provided PTF. * **************************************************************** When a COBOL program is compiled with TEST, TEST(DWARF), or NOTEST(DWARF) options, the compiler generates DWARF information with COBOL data names translated from the CCSID in the CODEPAGE to UTF-8. At execution time, during the CEEDUMP process, the COBOL Runtime fails to use the CCSID specified in the CODEPAGE when consuming the DWARF. This results in a CEEDUMP where COBOL data names are inadvertently translated from UTF-8 to CCSID 1047. The issue occurs with CCSID 939 or 1390. Note: 1. CCSID 1390 is Extended Japanese Katakana-Kanji Host Mixed (SBCS CCSID 290 and DBCS CCSID 300). 2. CCSID 939 is Japanese Latin-Kanji Host Mixed (SBCS CCSID 1027 and DBCS CCSID 300). Problem conclusion
The COBOL Runtime has been corrected. The correct CCSID specified in the CODEPAGE is used during the CEEDUMP process.
