Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM IMS Database Repair Facility (DBRF) for * * z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=H22K310) * * users who run DBRF in interactive mode and * * and process a DEDB database with subset * * pointers. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes DBRF interactive mode * * problems when processing a DEDB * * database with subset pointers. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** This APAR fixes the following problems when running DBRF in interactive mode and processing a DEDB database with subset pointers (SSP) in Segment Prefix panel. 1. When Segment Prefix panel is selecting the root segment of a DEDB database with no SDEP segment and the root segment has PCL to all of its direct dependent (DDEP) segments, "Ptr" and "Seq" in the PCL and SSP entries in the Segment Prefix panel are listed in the wrong order. e.g.) Pointer Entries in Segment Prefix panel Segment code . . 01 <- Selecting a root segment Ptr Seq Tgt-SC Tgt-RBA Position PTF 01 00000000 <==== PCF 1 02 00094390 SSP 1 02 00094324 <- "Ptr" & "Seq" must be PCL and 1. SSP 2 02 00094030 <- "Ptr" & "Seq" must be SSP and 1. PCL 1 02 0009409C <- "Ptr" & "Seq" must be SSP and 2. 2. When Segment Prefix panel is selecting the DDEP segment, SSP entries are not shown in the Segment Prefix panel, and the Segment Prefix Dump panel and the Segment data panel show incorrect data. 3. "SSPt" value in the Segment Prefix panel is always 0, even if the SSP exists. Below changes are made to the panel to fix this problem. a. "SSPt" value is now 4 digits and shows the number of SSPs in the processing segment correctly. b. "Level", the segment level, is moved to the next line. 4. "Seq" (the sequence number of pointers) of SSP entry in the Segment Prefix panel does not starts from 1 after the target segment code changes. e.g.) Pointer Entries in Segment Prefix panel Ptr Seq Tgt-SC Tgt-RBA Position PTF 01 00000000 <==== PCF 1 02 00094390 SSP 1 02 00094324 PCF 2 03 00094030 SSP 2 03 0009409C <- "Seq" must be 1. SSP 3 03 00094108 <- "Seq" must be 2.
