Error description

  • In section "The API provider Gradle plug-in generator options".
the z/OS Connect documentation states that if the wideComp3
Gradle attribute is not specified, the default value is YES.

However when running build from command line, the following
message, written to the build output, shows the opposite:
DFHPI9609I Parameter "WIDE-COMP3" has value "NO"

    Additional keywords: DFHPI9609 msgDFHPI9609 msgDFHPI9609I
    WIDE-COMP3

Local fix

  • set the attribute explicitly in options.yaml when wideComp3
    should be YES.

    ****************************************************************
The default value for the z/OS Connect Gradle plug-in property
"wideComp3" is documented as "YES". Running a build that uses
the z/OS Connect Gradle plug-in and does not specify a value for
the wideComp3 property in the options.yaml file reports the
    following message:
DFHPI9609I Parameter "WIDE-COMP3" has value "NO"

The generated artifact behaves as if created with the property
    for wideComp3 set to "NO".
