  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When compiling a COBOL program that     *
  *                      contains the TYPEDEF keyword using one  *
  *                      of the alternate reserved word tables,  *
  *                      the compiler may issue this error       *
  *                      message (or a similar one):             *
  *                                                              *
  *                      IGYDS1089-S "TYPEDEF" was invalid.      *
  *                      Scanning was resumed at the next area   *
  *                      "A" item, level-number, or the start of *
  *                      the next clause.                        *

  The TYPEDEF keyword was missing from the IGY8CICS and IGY8RWRD
  alternate reserved word tables shipped in the compiler SIGYSAMP
  dataset.
  

Problem conclusion

• The TYPEDEF keyword definition was added to the IGY8CICS and
  IGY8RWRD alternate reserved word tables. If users are
  encountering the problem above, they should apply the PTF and
  re-assemble and bind the new alternate reserved word table.
