Error description
When issuing an INQUIRE TCPIPSERVICE, the ATTLS value is returned as a null value such as: ATTLs( +0000000000 ). This occurs on any TCPIPSERVICE with a HOST attribute set to something other than "ALL" or "DEFAULT". This can lead to the following symptoms: When querying TCPIPSERVICE resources, EYUCMCIJ or EYUSMSSJ reports the following decode error for the ATTLS attribute: com.ibm.cics.drake.jcpsm.RecordDecoder W Unexpected value decoding attribute ATTLS com.ibm.cics.drake.jcpsm.DataType$DecodingException: Enum not found for value: 0 A similar error appears in messages.log when using GraphiQL: vacysafe.graphql.execution.SimpleDataFetcherExceptionHandler W Exception while fetching data (/smssRegion/cicsResources/tcpips/records[0]/attls): Unexpected value detected in output for TCPIPS.ATTLS java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected value detected in output for TCPIPS.ATTLS This error is also displayed in the GraphiQL UI. In CICS Explorer, the ATTLS attribute for TCPIPSERVICE resources is displayed as "?".

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SPI command INQUIRE TCPIPSERVICE * * returns an ATTLS value of 0 when HOST * * is not set to "ANY" or "DEFAULT". * **************************************************************** When the SPI command INQUIRE TCPIPSERVICE is executed against a TCPIPSERVICE with a HOST attribute not set to "ANY" or "DEFAULT", the ATTLS value is incorrectly returned as null/all zeros instead of its actual CVDA value. This incorrect value returned from the CICS SPI can lead to the following errors: Within the CPSM WUI, querying on this TCPIPSERVICE leads to the WUI log reporting the following decode error: com.ibm.cics.drake.jcpsm.RecordDecoder W Unexpected value decoding attribute ATTLS com.ibm.cics.drake.jcpsm.DataType$DecodingException: Enum not found for value: 0 GraphiQL queries retrieving this TCPIPSERVICE and ATTLS attribute value leads to the following unexpected value error: Exception while fetching data (/smssRegion/cicsResources/tcpips/records[0]/attls): Unexpected value detected in output for TCPIPS.ATTLS When viewing this attribute in CICS Explorer, it is displayed as a "?" instead of it's actual value.
Problem conclusion
CICS has been updated to correctly return the ATTLS value during an INQUIRE TCPIPSERVICE.
