PH68433: AUTHORIZATION FAILURE DURING EXPLAIN TABLE CREATION IN SQLPA V5.2 WHEN OWNER IS NOT A PRIMARY OR SECONDARY 25/10/07 PTF PECHANGE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In SQLPA V5.2, during object creation, the tool may encounter
  authorization errors (SQLCODE -553 or -551) if the specified
  OWNER is not the user's primary or secondary authorization ID.
  This results in partial resolution of the APAR PH67835 unless
  additional steps are taken.
  

Local fix

• Manually create the EXPLAIN tables in an accessible schema using
  DDL or the Db2 Admin Tool.
  

Problem summary

• SQL PA V5.2 failed with SQLCODE -553 or -551 during object
  creation when the specified OWNER was not the user's primary
  or secondary authorization ID.
  

Problem conclusion

• SQL PA was changed to allow object creation under an alternate
  OWNER when the user has the required authority.
