The following issues have been identified in the CICSPlex SM 6.3
Web User Interface (WUI) and are addressed by this APAR:

    - CICS Explorer requests through the CPSM Data Interface may
incorrectly return an HTTP 403 Forbidden response, resulting
in CICS Explorer having the following error message:
IZE0106E Connect failed with error "FORBIDDEN"

    - The WUI requires cookies starting with eyucookieform, however
the number of these can increase with additional requests made
through the WUI web pages as these may not be expired in a
timely manner, resulting in the number of cookies being held
by a browser for a WUI to increase.

    - Users may see additional browser tabs being opened
in addition to a new window when the "New Window" link is used.
This is due to differences in web browsers handling of event
listeners used by the WUI for opening new windows.

Problem conclusion

  • The WUI has been updated to address the identified issues,
    correcting:

    - The CPSM Data Interface has been corrected to allow
connections to operate with CICS Explorer.

    - Cookie usage has been improved to better expire these cookies
in a timely manner based on requirements, to reduce overall
    cookie usage by the WUI.

    - The event handling for link events within the WUI have been
improved to ensure better compatibility with web browsers to
    prevent unexpected tabs being opened.
