PH68053: COMPARE HANGS ON SUMMARY REPORT PROCESSING

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When incorrect masks are causing Compare to issue an error
  message ADB7184E, adding a new trigger causes incorrect messages
  in the report.
  
  Then Compare hangs while printing the summary report.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Object Compare job hangs when       *
  *                      a summary report is generated.          *
  ****************************************************************
  When Object Compare is run with incorrect masks and an ADB7184E
  error is issued, a new trigger is incorrectly added. The report
  has the following message:
  'ADB7954W View Alias <table name> not found on target'
  An infinite loop can occur later when the summary report is
  generated.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
