    Object Compare:
In this enhancement, Db2 Object Comparison Tool has fixed
    the following issues:

1)During the conversion from partition-by-range (PBR) to
partition-by-growth (PBG), any changes in partition attributes
between the source and target for partition 1 will not be
reported, and unnecessary ALTER statements for these attribute
changes will not be generated for the resulting
    PBG table spaces.

2)Unnecessary dropping of clone tables is avoided when
generating ALTER statements for repartitioning or dropping
partitions involving clone tables in PBR table spaces.

3)Incorrect partition attribute values in the
CREATE TABLESPACE statement are resolved when a table space is
dropped and recreated to change the partitioning key, and the
last limit key does not include MINVALUE or MAXVALUE.

This APAR also includes the following fixes for ALT:

    1. When virtual changes are applied when running ALT on a table
space, the compress value for partitions is now displayed
    correctly.
    2. Running ALT on a table or table space preserves PAGENUM
ABSOLUTE when dropping partitions or changing the partitioning
key columns if the table space contains a clone table.
    3. When an invalid line command is used on panel ADB21TAV, the
limit key values for the selected row are not replaced with the
limit key value of another partition.
    4. Using primary command ADD after line command I on panel
ADB21TAV no longer generates a duplicate partition.
    5. When a partition is inserted using line command I on the
ADB21TAV panel, the correct ADD PARTITION statement is now
    generated instead of ALTER PARTITION.
    6. When adding a column to the partitioning key, if a unique
partitioned index is redefined after returning to ADB27CA panel,
the correct statement is now generated.
    7. When a virtual change to drop a partition is applied and the
change to update a limit key is registered - if the second
change is analyzed before the first change has been run -
analyze fails with ADB8067E Alter inconsistency in the row type,
    length, or
    prefix.
    8. A virtual change from PBG to PBR for the table space is now
    applied correctly by ALT.
    9. The MAKERPN command on ADB21SAR panel now works correctly.
    10. ALT now correctly detects a virtual change that adds a
    clone to a table.

Problem conclusion

  • The enhancement has been delivered.
