APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In SQLPA V5.2, during object creation the tool may encounter
authorization problems (SQLCODE -553 or -551) when the specified
OWNER is not the users primary or secondary authorization ID.

Local fix

  • Manually create the EXPLAIN tables in an accessible schema
(either via DDL or Db2 Admin Tool).

Problem summary

  • SQL PA V5.2 failed with SQLCODE -553 or -551 during object
creation when the specified OWNER was not the user's primary
or secondary authorization ID.

Problem conclusion

  • SQL PA was changed to allow object creation under an alternate
OWNER when the user has the required authority.
