**Problem Symptom** ABEND U0071 was repeated to all IMS TCBs when we started IMS 15.6 using ACBLIB. . **Introduction** When initiating IMS 15.6 using ACBLIB, we encountered an issue where an ABENDU0071 abend message was repeatedly generated across all IMS Task Control Blocks (TCBs). . **Background** The current mACB design for IMS V15.6 supports U0071 abends for the invalid parameter case, as introduced in PI86600. These abends propagate across all TCBs in the control region because the ABEND macro call includes the STEP parameter, which terminates the entire job step instead of isolating the failure to the affected TCB.
