APAR status

Error description

  • Object Compare checks Db2 restrictions for generating a DROP
COLUMN statement. If it cannot be generated, Object Compare
issues message ADB7191I or ADB7192I and drops and re-creates the
table to drop a column. This APAR removes some of the reasons
for the ADB7191I and ADB7192I messages. Dependent objects that
prevent the execution of a DROP COLUMN statement will be dropped
and re-created to allow the ALTER on the table.
This APAR removes the following restrictions:

The column is referenced by a unique constraint.
The column is referenced by a referential constraint.
The column is referenced by views or triggers.
    The table has check constraints.
The table has a validation exit procedure.
The table is referenced by row permissions or column masks.
INSTEAD OF triggers are defined on a view that is dependent on
    the table.
The table is referenced by extended indexes or inline SQL table
    functions.
The table is referenced by materialized query tables.
This APAR replaces the incorrect EXEC(ADBGAJOB) image and reship
    all parts in APAR PH66867.
