Error description

  • CICS is running a Liberty workload and starts to issue messages:
    DFHXM0002 A severe error (code X'1007') has occurred in module
    DFHXMIQ.

    Analysis of the CICS trace shows:
    Unexpected_return_code_from_DSBR_INQUIRE_TASK_request

    CICS has issued EXEC CICS INQURE TASK LIST.
    XM Domain has a XmTxn control block for a task,
    but that task is not known to DS domain (XM_TXN_DS_TASK_TOKEN
    does not contain a current token),
    and the task is not known to KE domain (XM_TXN_KE_TASK_TOKEN
    is nulls).
    This is detected and reported by the XM0002 message and dump.

    In one reported instance of the problem, Omegamon was abending
    tasks (code RLEL).

    In another instance of the problem, a user was debugging a
    CICS Liberty transaction with the CEDX (EDF) debugger.
    DFHSJ0002 CODE X'0B19' was reported earlier in CICS JESMSGLG

    CPSM users may also see symptoms such as
    EYUXL0905E reporting Abend AEXZ in CICSPlex SM Methods NMCR
    (transaction CONM),
    NQCR (transaction CONL or CONA) and NLHS (transaction COIE),
    with the following stacks:
       Methods=NMCR,NMMC,NMRT,XLOP
       Methods=NQCR,NLRA,XLOP
       Methods=NLHS,NLHD,XLOP

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHSJ0002 or DFHXM0002 in DFHXMIQ       *
    * during active EDF session on CJSA with *
    *                      deleted TERMINAL.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    When there is an active CEDX session on CJSA with a JVM server
    running a web application, if the TERMINAL is deleted,
    subsequent web requests to the JVM server will result in a
    DFHSJ0002 and the web request will receive an HTTP 500 result.
    If the CJSA TCB is reused, and then deleted a DFHXM0002 will
    be issued.

    CPSM users may observe a EYUXL0905E.

    Omegamon users may observe tasks abending with code RLEL.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been updated so that this DFHSJ0002 and DFHXM0002 no
    longer occur.
