PH67515: INCORRECT VOLUME DISPLAY AFTER REMOVAL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• - *If the only volume associated with the stogroup is removed,
  the display in admin doesn't work quite right. If you do an AL
  on the stogroup that now has no volumes, we get to ADB21GA with
  a message 'no rows returned', however, the stogroup name is
  incorrect.*
  - *This behavior causes the tool to show every second storage
  group as empty after volume removal, which may mislead users
  during storage group management operations.*

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On panel ADB21GA, Alter Storage Group,  *
  *                      when issuing the removal of the last    *
  *                      volume of a storage group, the wrong    *
  *                      storage group is displayed on the       *
  *                      next panel.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  On panel ADB21GA, Alter Storage Group, after issuing the AL
  (Alter) line command on multiple storage groups, the removal of
  the last volume of a storage group causes the next storage
  group to display as empty, when it contains volumes.
  Additionally, on panel ADB21G, Storage Groups, issuing an AL
  line command on a storage group with no volumes returns the
  wrong storage group  name on panel ADB21GA. With this fix, the
  error message 'No rows returned' will not be displayed on panel
  ADB21GA. Previously, when issuing the AL line command on an
  empty storage group, the error message 'No rows returned' was
  displayed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
