PH67381: MIG FAILS DURING LOAD WITH SPANNED YES

APAR status

Error description

• When UNLOAD utility option SPANNED YES or NOPAD, LOAD step of
  MIG fails with invalid conversion error.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR addresses multiple issues     *
  *                      with the MIG function when using the    *
  *                      SPANNED YES or NOPAD option of the      *
  *                      LOAD utility.                           *
  ****************************************************************
  1. If a table contains an AS IDENTITY column, and the SPANNED
  YES or NOPAD option is enabled for the UNLOAD utility, the
  LOAD utility control statement is generated with the column type
  changed to CHAR, which causes an "INVALID CONVERSION FOR FIELD"
  error during LOAD execution. In this case, CHAR must be
  replaced with the original column type.
  2. The SPANNED YES option is ignored by the UNLOAD utility if
  the table does not contain LOB and XML data but causes an error
  when executing the LOAD utility; SPANNED YES is generated
  by the utility for the LOAD control statement. In this case,
  SPANNED YES must be suppressed for the LOAD utility.
  3. Support was added for identity column names up to 128
  characters.
