**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: GDPS Continuous Availability * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: GDPS Continuous Availability * * fix package 2025-04 * * * **************************************************************** This PTF addresses the following problems found at GDPS CA releases 4.7 and 4.8: - The following message issued during Satellite initialization is displayed in SDF with red color instead of yellow: GEO1148W THE GDPS CA SATELLITE CODE LEVEL INSTALLED <version> IS LOWER THAN THE LEVEL INSTALLED IN <version> - The following message issued during Routing Switch is displayed in SDF with yellow color instead of red: GEO1457E ROUTING SWITCH ABORTED WORKLOAD <workload_name> NO GATEWAY ACTIVE TO SYSTEM:<sysname> - The following message issued during Routing Switch is displayed in SDF with red color instead of yellow: GEO4601W ROUTING SWITCH FORCE WORKLOAD=<workload_name> soft errors. See message GEO4598I - The following message issued during Routing Switch is displayed in SDF with green color instead of red: GEO4655E ROUTING SWITCH FOR WORKLOAD <workload_name> <component> COMPONENT LIST NOT CREATED - During an unplanned switch, the following message is displayed twice in SDF. Once in with green color and again with yellow: GEO9990I UNSOLICITED MESSAGE RECEIVED: <message> - The following messages issued during Controller initialization are displayed in Netlog: DSI069I SYNTAX ERROR GDPS470-VPCAINIT: IPL Info initialization failed for system: <system_name> This PTF addresses the following problem found at GDPS CA 4.8: - The following message is displayed twice: GEO4943W UNSUPPORTED <subsystem_type> SUBSYSTEM LEVEL FOR <wkld_name> IN <system>. THE VERSION OF <subsystem_name> (<subsystem_version>) DOES NOT MEET THE GDPS REQUIRED VERSION (<required_version>)
Problem conclusion
This PTF corrects the reported problems: - GEO1148W is now displayed in yellow (4.7 and 4.8) - GEO1457E is now displayed in red (4.7 and 4.8) - GEO4601W is now displayed in yellow (4.7 and 4.8) - GEO4655E is now displayed in red (4.7 and 4.8) - GEO9990I is now issued only once (4.7 and 4.8) - The DSI069I and 'IPL Info initialization failed for system' no longer occur during - GEO4943W is now displayed only once (4.8) DOCUMENTATION CHANGES Affected Publications: ZG24-6762 GDPS Messages & Codes is updated to reflect SDF alert color changes in messages GEO1457E, GEO4601W, and GEO1148W.
