PH67217: INVESTIGATE INCREASING THE WAIT INTERVAL IN CPSCHECKPSSTATUS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Messages CSQX037E - SYSTEM.COMMAND.REPLY.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,
  MQCC=2 MQRC=2085 (MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME) are seen. The
  command server is busy processing a PCF message, which is a
  DISPLAY QUEUE(*) ALL command. Processing of that command is
  taking several seconds due to the existence of many shared
  queues. This APAR was opened to investigate increasing the wait
  interval in cpsCheckPSStatus for the answer to
  MQCMD_INQUIRE_PUBSUB_STATUS.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a command is issued that requires  *
  *                      significant processing time, the        *
  *                      Channel Initiator may fail to start     *
  *                      after message CSQX037E is seen in the   *
  *                      log. In these circumstances, the Queue  *
  *                      Manager logs also show messages         *
  *                      CSQN207I and CSQN203I.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  The function used during the startup of the Channel Initiator to
  check the publish/subscribe status of the Queue Manager may time
  out too quickly if no reply is received. This can happen when
  the reply from the Queue Manager is delayed due to processing
  other tasks.
  

Problem conclusion

• The timeout of this function has been increased to a more
  suitable value.
