  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A non-administrative user submits a CDMRET command
with the RENAME or APPEND parameters, and WAIT(NO)
is used. The program enters a wait state that
requires the batch job or ISPF session to be
canceled, even though the object is successfully
    downloaded to z/OS.

An internal flag has not been reset, leading to an inconsistent
communication between two component programs leaving one waiting
for a response that will never be posted.

Problem conclusion

  • The internal flag is reset if it is no longer needed after being
    used.
