    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    After migrating to Web Server Plug-in fix pack versions
    8.5.5.26, 8.5.5.27, 8.5.5.28, 9.0.5.22, 9.0.5.23, 9.0.5.24, or
    9.0.5.25, customers may experience a memory leak in the
    plug-in process. Over time, this can lead to steadily
    increasing memory usage, which may degrade performance and
    reduce system stability. The issue is of medium severity and
    does not immediately impact availability, but prolonged
    operation without mitigation can worsen performance. As a
    temporary workaround, restarting the IBM HTTP Server during
    off-peak hours can help reduce resource consumption until a
    permanent fix is applied.

Problem conclusion

  • The memory leaks have been addressed with this APAR, along
    with APAR PH66834, in the upcoming fix packs.
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
    8.5.5.29 and 9.0.5.26. For more information, see 'Recommended
    Updates for WebSphere Application Server':
