  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Compatibility and co-existence updates  *

  *                      CICSPlex SM releases with 6.3 CPSM      *
  *                      agents. This allows compatibility       *
  *                      with ATTLSAWARE support for IPIC.       *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: The PTF(s) addressing this APAR should be    *
  *                 applied to all CPSM CICS regions (CMAS,LMAS  *
  *                 and WUI regions) and these restarted. This   *
  *                 can be performed in any order.               *
  ****************************************************************
  Due to changes in resource definitions included in 6.3,
  co-existence changes are required to be applied at earlier
  releases, to ensure compatibility when 6.3 CMAS and MAS agents
  are also active within a CICSplex.
  
  CICS TS 6.3 adds support for ATTLSAWARE for IPIC connections
  TCPIPSERVICE and IPCONN definitions (TCPDEF and IPCONDEF). This
  has included introducing SSL(ATTLSAWARE) for IPIC. To allow
  these definitions to be installed on earlier releases a change
  is required to allow co-existence for these definitions.
  
  This encompasses the following:
  - IPCONDEF definitions with SSL(ATTLSAWARE)
  - TCPDEF definitions with PROTOCOL(IPIC) and SSL(ATTLSAWARE)
  - IPCONN resources installed with SSL(ATTLSAWARE)
  

Problem conclusion

• Changes have been made to ensure correct co-existence with
  6.3 release MAS and CMAS agents. This allows previous releases
  to display and query the new SSL(ATTLSAWARE) value for these
  definitions and resources.
  
  Change have been made to allow 6.3 IPCONDEF and TCPDEF
  definitions to be installed into previous release CPSM agents,
  with the SSL attribute being altered to SSL(NO) when installed.
  
  This results in resources installed in this release with:
  - IPCONDEF resources installed with SSL(ATTLSAWARE) are
  installed as a IPCONN with SSL(NO).
  - TCPDEF resources installed with PROTOCOL(IPIC) and
  SSL(ATTLSAWARE) are installed as a TCPIPService with SSL(NO).
  
  When these 6.3 definitions with SSL(ATTLSAWARE) are installed
  in an applicable pre-6.3 LMAS region they are installed with
  SSL(NO). As a result if the remote partner requires a TLS/SSL
  connection, the connections will be rejected and these will
  not operate correctly.
