APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the SSLHTO=0 issue was fixed (rejected SSLHTO=0 and SSLHTO
set with default to 2), a general timeout value for TCP send and
receive was introduced. Previously, asynchronous socket calls
never returned EAGAIN or EWOULDBLOCK. Now, these return codes
can be returned if the send/receive buffer is full/empty and not
emptied/filled before the timeout delay and are not managed
correctly.

  • The socket option was removed for general calls and is only set
with for handshake operations.
