The deprecated tool called IBM Support Assistant Data
Collection Tool (ISADC) should be removed from WebSphere
Application Server. Instead, the collector tool should be
used, to help capture the information that must be provided to
IBM Support when a problem is reported. The collector tool is
designed to make problem reporting as easy and complete as
possible.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The deprecated IBM Support Assistant Data Collection Tool
(ISADC) and its corresponding files were removed from the
WebSphere Application Server product.

The collector tool is the recommended tool that gathers
information about your WebSphere Application Server
installation and packages it in a Java archive (JAR) file
that you can send to IBM® Customer Support to help determine
and analyze your problem.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.29 and 9.0.5.26. For more information, see 'Recommended
