PH66486: System abend 0C4 of the Event Manager task that ends with the message EQQZ045E

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Event Manager task could abend with 0C4-10, handling a
  bind request event received from distributed master when a
  backup master is defined.
  

Local fix

• Rename the dataset associated to EQQHTTP0
  in controller, define a new one empty and
  restart the controller.

  During the controller restart the bind events, stored in
  EQQHTTP0 data set, could be read to synchronize  with the
  master.
  During this process, if a bind request event, from a
  distributed master with a backup master, is handled, the EM task
  could abend.
  

Problem conclusion

• The bind request event (2Y), received from a distributed master
  with a backup master, has a field containing the address of the
  backup destination. This address has no meaning anymore when
  the controller is restarted.
  Using this address on restart causes the abend.
  Now the correct address is used.
