PH66475: ESM FILE FAILS IMPORT INTO CICS EXPLORER WHEN ESM DATA CONTAINS CURRENCY SYMBOLS

Error description

• When using CICS security discovery to analyze ESM definitions,
  ESM data containing currency symbols are not converted
  correctly.
  This results in the YAML ESM file failing to import into the
  editor in CICS explorer.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users are unable to import a YAML ESM   *
  *                      file created by DFH$R2SM due to         *
  *                      incorrectly converted currency symbol.  *
  ****************************************************************
  The DFH$R2SM and DFH$SM2R jobs and their associated REXXX EXECs
  allow users to extract information from RACF and create a YAML
  ESM file that can be imported into the Security Discovery editor
  within the CICS Explorer.
  
  When the data extracted from RACF contains an EBCDIC currency
  symbol (For example, a userid containing a currency symbol), the
  conversion of this character between EBCDIC and ASCII produces
  an incorrect result.
  
  The YAML ESM file produced is unable to be imported into the
  editor in CICS Explorer as a result of this.
  

Problem conclusion

• The currency symbol mapping in the translate tables used by the
  extraction jobs has been corrected.
