Error description

  • We identify a small timing window in the STOPCKTI processing,
due to the asynchronous nature of this area of the product, and
the use of EXEC CICS LINK to interact with CKQC. This timing
window allows partial clean-up of some of the CKTI related
information which is used by CKQC (DFHMQSSQ) to identify CKTI
tasks which have been initiated by it, if this processing
overlaps with a related STARTCKI command. This timing window
only occurs when a significant number of STOPCKTI and subsequent
STARTCKTI commands are issued within a short period of time of
each other, allowing parts of the processing related to CKQC to
overlap. This window only appears possible due to the number of
commands issued, and the related work because of the
asynchronous nature of the CICS-MQ trigger monitor and its
commands being issued in this sort of manner.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Second CKTI for the same MQ Initiation *
    *                      Queue.                                  *
    ****************************************************************
There is a timing window within the CICS MQ code (DFHMQSSQ and
DFHMQTRQ) when performing actions on the CKTI transactions,
such as Starting and Stopping them.
It is possible for there to be 2 CKTI transactions for the same
    MQ Initiation Queue.
The CKQC transaction will not find this second CKTI transaction
nor will a STOPCKTI command be able to stop it.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to add an enqueue when manipulating the
    CKTI transaction.
Tracing has been added to DFHMQTRQ.
Messages DFHMQ0383D, DFHMQ0384D and DFHMQ0385D now have the
name of the initiation queue included.
