PH66097: MESSAGE CHC9844I CONTAINS INVALID TIME DATA IF A LOG DELTA IS BEING USED BY DB2

APAR status

Error description

• If a nonzero Log Delta has been generated for DB2, the time
  value derived from LRSN data in DB2 Log records is not being
  properly adjusted to generate a time stamp in the contents of
  message CHC9844I

Problem summary

  *                 that has generated a LRSN Delta value.       *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The LRSN Delta is not properly combined *
  *                      with the LRSN to produce a time value   *
  *                      when the time value is being used in    *
  *                      message CHC9844I.                       *
  ****************************************************************
  Message CHC9844I may contain an incorrect time value if the DB2
  Data Sharing Group being used has generated a LRSN Delta value.
  

Problem conclusion

• The LRSN Delta supplied by the customer is now properly used for
  generating times from DB2 Log Record Sequence Numbers that
  appear in any messages.
