PH66075: DFHAP0002 A SEVERE ERROR (CODE X'3255') HAS OCCURRED IN MODULE DFHD2D2.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The task running CEX2 is in a USERWAIT CDB2TIME, waiting for the
  protected thread purge cycle to pop or to be posted for another
  event. It requested to terminate the thread.
  When CEX2 is terminating the thread it raises the exception
  condition *EXC* FAILED_TO_ASSOCIATE.
  
  The other task running the user transaction issued an EXEC SQL
  when then the CEX2 requested to terminate the thread.
  The Internal trace shows the exception trace entry EXC*
  INVALID_TCB were written to the task running the user
  transaction,  causing the AP0002.

  The CSUB indicates the code 00F31100 was returned in the DB2
  ASSOCIATE (ASSO) call.
  FRBRC2 is 00F31100 and FRBRC1 is 00000000 when customer is
  running with Db2 v13.
  Db2 introduced the new feedback code of 00F31100, which CICS is
  not prepared to handle.

  A CICS protected thread may suffer an abend 04E/AD3F,
  associate_failed when the CEX2 transaction is attempting to
  issue a TERMINATE_THREAD.
  The internal CSUB trace contained within the exception trace
  entry will show a Db2 feedback code of 00F31100 on the ASSO call
  for the CEX2 transaction number,
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHD2D2 has been changed to include the Db2 feedback code
  00F31100 to ensure the thread is cleaned up correctly.
