PH66036: A DUMP IS BEING TAKEN INCORRECTLY FOR MSG DFHXS1206 25/07/10 PTF PECHANGE

Error description

• Customer reported a msg
  
  DFHXS1206 04/02/2025 15:54:50 CICSXXX  The credentials supplied
  in the verification request for userid UUUUUU were valid after 1
  failed attempts.
  
  followed by a
  
  DFHDU0201  CICSXXX ABOUT TO TAKE SDUMP. DUMPCODE:    .    ,
  DUMPID: 1/0002
  
  The DFHDU0201 contained a unrecognizable character for the
  dumpcode,
  
  which turned out to be a  " &  "  symbol.
  
  A dump is not supposed to be taken for DFHXS1206 message.  Thus
  we were picking up invalid data for the dumpcode.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A dump is incorrectly taken when the    *
  *                      DFHXS1206 message is issued.            *
  ****************************************************************
  When the user attempts to change their password directly after a
  failed login attempt via CESL, CESN, or EXEC CICS SIGNON, CICS
  issues the following DFHXS1206 message in MSGUSER:
  
  DFHXS1206 04/08/2025 09:17:28 CICSXXX The credentials supplied
  in the verification request for userid UUUUUU were valid after
  X failed attempts.
  
  This is then followed by the following DFHDU0201 message in
  JESMSGLG which takes a dump with the dumpcode '    &    ':
  
  09.17.28 JOB50916  +DFHDU0201 IYCKZCCE ABOUT TO TAKE SDUMP.
  DUMPCODE:    &    , DUMPID: 1/0001
  
  Message DFHDU0201 and the associated dump should not be issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• UI99617, UI99618, UO03171, UO03172
  
  CICS has been updated so that message DHFXS1206 no longer takes
  a dump when issued.
