• 1) For 5.5k objects job took almost 30 mins
  
  2) for 11k objects job took 3hr 30 mins
  
  3) for 22k objects it was running for almost 24 hrs

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using Change Management (CM) batch *
  *                      to create a large number of databases,  *
  *                      table spaces, and tables, the JCL takes *
  *                      a long time to be created due to the    *
  *                      recover-to-existing data change.        *
  *                      This problem can also happen if the     *
  *                      user drops a large number of tables and *
  *                      table spaces using CM.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  When running CM batch with recover-to-existing data, the JCL
  takes a very long time to be created.  The user was doing
  thousands of creates for databases, table spaces and tables. The
  generated recover job therefore needs to run UNLOAD and START DB
  ACCESS(RO) for all table spaces and tables that were created.
  

Problem conclusion

• The time to create the recover change has been shortened
  considerably by better performing code.
