APAR status

  • Closed as unreproducible.

Error description

  • The following messages are received shortly after CKQC STOP
    command has been issued:

+DFHAP0707 CICSDBDC An abend (code 0C1/AKEA) has occurred in
task related user exit program DFHMQTRU.
+DFHAP0001 CICSDBDC An abend (code 0C1/AKEA) has occurred at
    offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMQTRU.

DFHMQLOC at X'140' contains Msg handle create routine address
(CSQBCRMH) and at X'144' Msg property API routine address
(CSQBPAPI). At dump time both pointers are zeroed, and MQCONN
status is in quiescing status. This causes S0C1 abend when task
related user exit program DFHMQTRU at offset x'7FA8' issues a
call to one of these programs.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: S0C1 abend occurs when quiescing MQ *
    *                      whilst a CICS-MQ application using      *
    * MQCRTMH is in an MQGET with wait. *
    ****************************************************************
When an MQ QMGR is quiesced and a CICS-MQ program is waiting in
an MQGET, CICS receives an OK response to its internal wait
(DFHDSSRM WAIT_MVS). The success path is taken, leading to an
0C1 abend as CSQBCRMH is incorrectly driven to clean up the
    message handles created by MQCRTHM.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • CICS has been updated to correctly handle the cleanup of the
MQ Connection and message handles when the MQConnection is
terminating. This is fixed in higher releases by APAR PH63586.
