PH65916: ABEND 0C4 IN CSQ1LOGP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The abend occurs when processing a message with message
  properties. CSQ1LOGP EXTRACT was enhanced at V940 so that
  message properties are converted into MQRFH2 in the output
  record. The abend is occurring in CSQVSGET because the high half
  of R5 has a bad value. CSQVSGET is getting called as part of
  data conversion when trying to convert an MQ Format field for
  insertion into the newly created MQRFH2. The problem occurs
  because the linkage between CSQ1LEXT (1LOGP EXTRACT) and
  CSQACS64 (data conversion) is incorrect.
  

Local fix

• If there is no requirement to replay messages with message
  properties, then an older version of CSQ1LOGP can continue to be
  used until the APAR fix is ready.

  From MQ V940, CSQ1LOGP EXTRACT(YES) processing builds an MQRFH2
  header for messages with properties. Depending on other headers
  which the message contains, this may require converting an MQ
  Format field. Incorrect linkage to a data conversion routine
  results in an attempt to convert the Format field abending S0C4.
  

Problem conclusion

• The linkage to the data conversion routine from CSQ1LOGP
  EXTRACT(YES) processing has been corrected.
