Error description

  • User turned on the DB2 utility object-level history information.

For analysis, they are using the DB2-DBA tool. But they get
results with wrong data, when connecting to a different DB2
    subsystem.

When using the DDF option to connect to a different DB2
subsystem and wanting to see the utility history for a
tablespace / table that exists in both DB2 subsystems, they get
the utility history for the tablespace / table of the DB2
subsystem they are coming from and not where they are connected
    to.
If the tablespace / table does not exist on the DB2 subsystem
they are coming from, they get a "No rows were fetched"
    message.

When they use the "CO" option to connect to a different Db2
subsystem, they get the right utility history.

From the shown utility history result, they cannot use the "ICS"
line command, because the generated SQL statement for this query
    is not correct:

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the DDF command to display *
    * information from another location, *
    * wrong information is shown if the UH *
    * line command is used to display utility *
    * history. The same problem occurs if the *
    * ICS line command is used on panel *
    *                      ADB2Z2H1.                               *
    ****************************************************************
The SQL generated for the UH and ICS line commands did not
include the location name when DDF is used. As a result,
information from the wrong subsystem might be displayed.
In addition, the ICS line command now shows rows from
SYSCOPY in descending date and time order.

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been fixed.
