This APAR enables CICS Configuration Manager to operate in a
CICS Transaction Server for z/OS v6.3 environment.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Configuration Manager is enhanced to run under and support
CICS Transaction Server for z/OS 6.3 environments.

Other minor corrective maintenance or improvements are included
    in the APAR:

    1. The CREATE API automatically uppercases the names of newly
created CICS CM Repository objects such as change package
IDs, Schemes, etc. Previously, the Rexx SCCVSAMP samples
CCVXXMLx allowed mixed case names, which are inconsistent
        with CICS CM operation.

    2. SCCVSAMP sample CCVXCPRC (COBOL, package pre-processing
exit program) is updated to correctly set parameter
CPPR-AP-CHECK to P (pass) instead of Y (yes) when marking
        the package as fully approved.

    3. SCCVSAMP sample CCVXHKPU (CCVJNL Journal unload) is updated
to illustrate the DELETE processing option values of YES
        and NO.

    4. CCVBMAIN batch utility is improved to suppress reporting of
the resolved IPaddress as 0.0.0.0 in favour other non-zero
        addresses.

    5. Program CCVWSDSH is corrected to prevent ABEND AWBM
(CICS Web Interface error) when processing an IPv6
        IPaddress.

    6. ISPF online panels issue error CCVE176 (Invalid CICS
version) in place of CCVE033 (Internal Error) when the
maintenance required to support the CICS TS release of the
CICS CM Server has not been applied.

    7. Obscure error messages triggered by change package batch
audit reporting have been corrected. These could occur when
reporting IMPORT history for the package when the option
"Register change packages on import" was NOT selected.
        The errors messages appeared as:

          CCVBMAIN CCVPRINT:

CCV9166E A required field is missing.

          CICS CM SERVER, CCVLOG:

CCV5210E Severe error for Command INQUIRE.
            CCV9999I TASKNO=<task>
            CCV9999I RC=SVERR
            CCV9999I MODID=X'0009' or MODID=X'0005'
            CCV9999I RSN=X'0002'
            CCV9999I INFO=X'F0F0F1F4' 0014
            CCV9999I INFO2=X'60E2D7C1C3C5E260' -SPACES-
            CCV9999I USERID=<userID>

    8. SCCVSAMP sample CCVXCSDD containing the CICS resource
definitions is updated for FILE(CCVDAAIX) to set attribute
        OPENTIME(STARTUP). The previous setting of
OPENTIME(FIRSTREF) could lead to file write errors owing to
delays in the initial loading of the file.
