PH65594: IDZ 16.0.5: UNABLE TO EDIT Z/OS DEBUGGER PROFILES FROM CLIENT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Create a debug profile using the z/OS Debugger Profiles view in
  IDz. Save and close the profile, and disconnect from any RSE
  host connections. Opening the newly created profile without
  first connecting to a z/OS system will prompt the user for their
  userid/password. After connecting the user cannot make changes
  to the opened profile without closing and reopening the profile
  window. Connecting to the host system before opening the profile
  will also prevent this behavior.

Problem conclusion

• This problem was caused by a timing issue between RSE and the
  Debug Profile Editor.
  
  This problem is fixed in versions 16.0.7 and 17.0.1 of the
  following products:
  - IBM Debug for z/OS
  - IBM Developer for z/OS
  - IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition
